Mudgee Region produce
The Mudgee Region is a major producer of olives and high quality olive oils and is also renowned for tapenades, honeys, hazelnuts, pistachios, jams, wine jellies, pestos and a range of marinades.Taste goat, sheep or cow’s milk cheeses at a factory or farm gate. You’ll find lots of regional and seasonal delicacies like lamb, beef, free range pork, yabbies and venison on many of the local menus.To help with your true immersion in the local foodie scene, the Mudgee Fine Foods Association holds a Farmer’s Market on the third Saturday of each month, in the grounds of St Mary’s Catholic Church, right in the centre of town. |
