THE CELLAR BY GILBERT
The Gilbert family is passionate about fine wine, delicious food & family tradition. In September 2016, they opened their first tasting room + wine bar, The Cellar by Gilbert, located on the edge of town in Mudgee, offering guests the chance to enjoy both current and museum release, a selection of international wines (being launched February 2018), Mudgee’s High Valley cheese, and food by Pip Sumbak, in a relaxed environment.
Wine & Cheese tasting + lunch is available daily.
Wine Bar: Friday + Saturday Nights
On Fridays + Saturdays, the Cellar by Gilbert's opening hours extends to 10 pm.
From 6 pm they serve their small plates à la carte menu or tasting experience which features six courses + seven wines. Their curated wine and beverage list, features Yulli’s craft beer, Goose cider, current and museum wines by Gilbert and a selection of international wines, showcasing some of the world’s best varieties + producers.
Food Over Fire
Their long lunch ‘Food over Fire’ takes place each Saturday (19th May until 29th September). Lunch is set around a large, communal farmhouse-style table and brings you closer to the Mudgee region’s producers by indulging in a true ‘farm to table’ experience. Grab a glass of Gilbert wine, Goose cider or Yulli’s craft beer and head up to watch Pip cook your lunch over the fire-pit. Bookings are essential as numbers limited.

The Cellar by Gilbert offers masterclasses 7 days per week. They cost $45 per person and include a cheese & meat platter, an in-depth tasting and a flight of 5 wines. Bookings essential.
