Meet David Lowe of Lowe Wines
No other agricultural product displays its region like wine. The Lowe family settled in Mudgee in 1820, our history of cultural heritage and meteorology is all captured in our wine. A wine region continually making wine since 1850, by definition, has evolved to survive. This single fact of wine evolution assures the Mudgee visitor they’re in for a real treat. From our red vineyards at the front of the winery, to the lofty Nullo Mountain vineyards sitting at 1,100m, each and every vintage allows us to express the vineyard and its terroir as wine.
Why visit Mudgee Region?
The town and the region offer great cultural and culinary diversity. From the chefs and their local produce through to winemakers and wine varieties there is broad appeal. Whilst having this, the town retains its rural and welcoming feel.
If you are looking to get off the beaten path, try the drive from Mudgee to Bylong via Rylstone. This is a road less travelled and one that has views that encapsulate the Mudgee region; from river plains through Mudgee to the spectacular landscapes trekking down to the Bylong Valley.
