Our very hands on classes show you how to incorporate sourdough baking into your life – not an easy feat! We will work with you on the journey from starter development through to hot baked bread.

Incorporated into this will be the basic science of sourdough fermentation, nutrition, storage, baking and suggested texts for further reading.

At the end of the class you will have made your own starter, sourdough crumpets, pizza and two types of bread. We will also invite you to join our Private Facebook Mudgee Sourdough School group for follow up support.

There are two sessions scheduled for 2024

FEBRUARY SESSION:

Day one: Sunday Feb 11 // 6:00pm - 8:30pm

Day two: Monday Feb 12 // 7:30am - approx 2:30pm

MAY SESSION:

Day one: Friday May 10 // 6:00pm - 8:30pm

Day two: Saturday May 11 // 7:30am - approx 2:30pm

Inclusions:

10 hours of small group hands on one-on-one tuition by a very experienced artisan sourdough baker (ex owner of Mudgee Sourdough and The Itty Bitty Bread Shop).

All meals + drinks provided from first evening dinner through to breakfast/morning tea/lunch the next day - showcasing at the same time our local produce, wines and beverages.

Notes to take home, your own starter, baked bread and a denim Mudgee Sourdough apron.

Following the class there is an opportunity to purchase equipment for use at home.
