Weave a beautiful bespoke basket using grapevine prunings from the Rosby Vineyard. Using a variety of natural materials and you will create a unique handmade basket of your own design.
Participants will get to use a variety strappy leaves and vines, including cumbungi and iris leaves, as well as palm inflorescence and jasmine vine.
All your materials and weaving notes are supplied, and we will learn a variety of techniques including twining, and handmade cordage to incorporate in your basket. Learn how to identify which materials are good to weave with; and how to gather, store and prepare them.
