Capertee Homestead (named 'Port Macquarie')

Capertee Homestead is an inspiring historic building built in the 1920s overlooking the sweeping vistas of Capertee National Park. With plenty of space for large groups or families it features country style accommodation where you can enjoy the many activities peaceful Capertee National Park has to offer. After a day of hiking or riding, gather your family and friends around in the evening for a barbecue on the large verandah taking in the stunning surroundings, before heading inside and settling in around the warmth of the slow combustion wood fire.

Capertee Cottage

Nearby Capertee Cottage, is a smaller cabin suited for couples or families - or for extended groups booking both properties. It is nestled in a picturesque setting and offers the adventurous a great opportunity to go car touring, bushwalking, mountain biking and birdwatching. If you want something a little more leisurely simply soak in the scenic views while listening to the chattering lorikeets and honeyeaters. In the evening, kangaroos and wallabies are often seen grazing nearby. Gather the family and delight in an evening under a blanket of stars. You might even hear the call of the powerful barking owl echoing through the bush.

Capertee National Park is only 90 minutes from Mudgee and is located half way between Sydney and Mudgee, making it an ideal spot to break your journey or for a peaceful weekend away.
