The farm backs on to Wollemi National Park and the famous Dunns Swamp is a short distance away.
Accommodation is in either a self-contained, 4 bedroom weatherboard farmhouse or 3 bedroom cottage constructed of local sandstone by Reg. The farm house has a large kitchen with three refrigerators, dishwasher, full stove, and microwave, two bathrooms and two toilets. It can sleep from 6 to 14 people, or more if required. The stone cottage also has its own kitchen, lounge and dining areas and bathroom and is located a short distance away. It can sleep from 2 to 6 people.
Both cottages have a great atmosphere and are well equipped, with all linen, electric blankets and wood fires. A CD player and VCR with movies are available free on request. Relax with a good book on the sunny verandah or enjoy some of the many activities, including bushwalking, cycling, fishing, spotting platypus, searching for wombat holes, listening for lyre birds or take the grand tour with Reg in the 4WD. Taste a little of what it's like to live on a farm with sheep, cattle, chooks and home grown fruit and vegetables.
Cook your own meals or taste some of Jenny's wonderful country cooking, including her fabulous sticky date pudding and lemon soufflé. Table tennis and undercover gas BBQ facilities are provided. Some bicycles in a variety of sizes are free for the use of guests (BYO helmets).
A secluded campsite with fireplace, BBQ, bathroom and covered cement floor area is also available for hire. Fresh water and some wood is provided. Once booked you have it to yourself unless you agree to share. Plenty of clear area for tents and campervans and room for children to play and explore.
Canoeing or a 90 minute river cruise is available nearby at Dunns Swamp (which is part of the National Park). For details go to www.wollemiafloat.com.au.
