The Gulgong Folk Festival

The Gulgong Folk Festival is on again this year from 29-31 December.

There will be poetry, blackboard concerts, performances, markets + workshops, truly something for everyone. 

Artists this year include Mountain Dew, Gleny Rae Virus, Peter Vadiveloo, and The Bushwackers will return to headline the festival after their success in 2017.

Venue: Pubs, clubs + venues throughout the village of Gulgong

3 Day Passes

Adult: $97.00

Concession: $82.00 (Must show ID at Festival Office upon arrival - Government Concession, DVA, Health Care Card, Student Card)

Youth: $42.00 (13 - 18 Years)

Children: Children under 13 gain FREE entry, but must be accompanied by a paying adult.

Single Day Passes

Adult: $47.00

Concession: $37.00 (Must show ID at Festival Office upon arrival - Government Concession, DVA, Health Care Card, Student Card)

Youth: $17.00 (13 - 18 Years)

Children: Children under 13 gain FREE entry, but must be accompanied by a paying adult.

Song Writing Competition

Gulgong Folk Festival offers a competition for a new folk song, on any topic of interest or concern, written in 2019.

 There are two categories for entrants: (1) Age to 21 years and (2) over 21.

The traditional search for a political parody in the style of John Dengate is another songwriting competition, for those who follow politics closely, and feel the need to write an insightful/ witty parody. All any intending entrant needs to do is contact Di Clifford, write their song, and arrive at the GFF19 Festival Office with 3 paper copies for the judges.
