Gulgong Folk Festival offers a competition for a new folk song, on any topic of interest or concern, written in 2019.
There are two categories for entrants: (1) Age to 21 years and (b) over 21.
The traditional search for a political parody in the style of John Dengate is another songwriting competition, for those who follow politics closely, and feel the need to write an insightful/ witty parody. All any intending entrant needs to do is contact Di Clifford, write their song, and arrive at the GFF19 Festival Office with 3 paper copies for the judges.
