2018 Mudgee Wine + Food Festival
The Mudgee Wine + Food Festival is on again in 2018 with festivities kicking off on Friday 7th September and continuing throughout the month of September. This is one of New South Wales’ longest running wine and food festivals and will feature a diverse range of events including live music, tastings, lunches, dinners and tours.
While there is a number of signature events of the Festival (see below) each participating winery is offering their own unique experience. This ranges from food and wine pairing, special tastings, platters and tasting flights.
Key events during the festival
Guests can join the Mudgee winemakers for a locally inspired dinner.
Trophy winning wines will be announced on the night and matched alongside each course.
Go Tasting: Saturday 8 September
This is the public tasting of the wines entered into the 2017 Mudgee Wine Show.
Guests can choose from over 100 of the best wines in the region and compare their palates to those of the wine show judges. There will also be an opportunity to take home six-packs of the award winning wines at special ‘Go Tasting’ prices.
Join us for casual, fun and educational evening centred around Mudgee wine.
Each event will be hosted by a charismatic Mudgee wine industry personality and take you on a journey of wine discovery.
With a different theme each week, there's no reason you can't come to all three!
Delight your senses by starting with sparkling wine and canapes on arrival before delving into a world of local food and drink. An ample selection of small bites will be served in three distinct courses, prepared by several of Mudgee’s leading chefs and caterers, paired with award winning wines by some of the top producers in the region. Discover how wine and food can complement and contrast in an evening inspired by the amazing Mudgee region.
Held in the heart of Mudgee’s CBD, the Mudgee Wine + Food Festival's headliner event ‘Flavours of Mudgee’ brings the town alive with this street festival. All of the region’s winegrowers, producers, bakers, cooks, distillers and brewers join together offering tastings and meals with a backdrop of Mudgee’s historic buildings and famous Clock Tower. Free entry, with tokens + glasses available to purchase on entry for wine tasting. Tasting packages can also be pre-purchased from the Mudgee Visitor Information Centre.
