GOLD: Remarkable People, Intriguing Stories
The Gold Rush of the 1800’s turned this country’s, indeed the world’s, attention to our region.
The diggers and the merchants, the bushrangers and the builders. The elated and the dispirited. All had a lasting affect on our towns and the stories they left behind feature in a series of displays, presentations and performances to be held at The Stables on Market Street in May.
The National Trust invites you to an afternoon of incredible stories and untold tales of remarkable people. A unique insight into this area’s fascinating history told by our own townsfolk.
