Mudgee Wine School Region in Focus Series – Italian Varietals.
Italian wines are renowned worldwide, with an extensive history dating back centuries, and in fact, Italian varietals have a wide-ranging history in the Mudgee region too, with many of our cellar doors offering locally grown varietals that are of Italian origin.
In this Italian Varietal Focus class, you will sample 6 amazing varietals, learn their particular history and see why Italian wine is perfectly suited to food pairings.
You will taste Prosecco, Fiano, Vermentino, Sangiovese, Barbera, and Nebbiolo.
The class is held at the gorgeous Lazy Oak Wines (13km from Mudgee, towards Gulgong via the Henry Lawson Drive) with return bus transport included in the ticket price. Bus transfers will depart Mudgee CBD from 5.45pm and 6.15pm for a 6.30pm start, and return at the conclusion of the class at 8.15pm.
