Event Details

To support the ongoing development of our Members, Business Mudgee, in conjunction with Pearl Daly-Swords of the Centre for Executive Development (CED), is hosting a People Leadership series that will run between September and December 2021. We will be holding five 2-hour workshops with a key focus on building your mindset, toolset + skillset in a range of people-related, business topics.

It has often been cited that ‘our people are our biggest asset’ and as such, this series aims to support you in getting the most from yourself and your people in a professional setting. Underpinned by evidence (including the latest neuroscience), the People Leadership Series is for people leaders at all levels, as well as for those aspiring to lead teams in the near future.

The workshops will run during the lunch period so that they are easier to slot into a busy working day. Tea, coffee + water will be available. Attendees are most welcome to bring their own lunch.

Wednesday 22 September – Tips for effective recruitment and onboarding
Recruitment and onboarding are important components of your employee value proposition. In this workshop, you’ll experience the associated mindset, toolset + skillset to ensure even greater effectiveness in these areas.

Wednesday 13 October – How to give effective feedback – both positive and constructive
Providing impactful feedback is one of the most effective ways to support ongoing team development. In this workshop, you’ll experience the mindset, toolset + skillset to enable you to be even more effective in this important leadership capability.

Wednesday 10 November – Coaching your team to success (Part 1)
Great Leaders identify, inspire and coach others. Google’s oxygen project, aimed at understanding how to effectively support its managers, rated ‘be a good coach’ as the #1 requirement. In part 1 of this 2-part workshop, you will experience the mindset and effective tools required to be a better coach for your team + colleagues alike.

Wednesday 17 November – Coaching your team to success (Part 2)

Wednesday 01 December – Creating peak mental performance
We each have a finite capacity for peak mental performance on any given day. In this workshop, you will better understand how our brains work. You will gain some top tips to support you in dealing with stress and on how to maximise your peak mental performance – and ideally that of your team members.
