Enjoy a train ride in a 95 year old vintage rail motor
The Mudgee Miniature Railway in conjunction with the Rail Motor Society at Paterson (near Newcastle) are running a series of train trips using 1920's vintage rail motors and invite you to join them and experience rail travel from another era.
Trip A - Saturday 16 + Sunday 17 November
Newcastle to Gulgong + return weekend trip
Saturday 16th November - The train will depart Broadmeadow (Newcastle) at 8am and travel via Singleton, Muswellbrook and along the Scenic Sandy Hollow line through Denman, following the Goulburn River and the Wollemi National Park to the historic gold mining town of Gulgong.
At Gulgong, a bus will transfer you to the Centennial Hotel for lunch.
Accommodation included on Saturday night is either at the Ten Dollar Town Motel in Gulgong or at the Wanderlight Motor Inn at Mudgee (bus transfer is included). Enjoy dinner at your chosen motel.
Sunday 17th November - After breakfast at the motel, the bus will take you to the Mudgee Honey Haven for Honey + mead tasting, followed by wine tasting at a local winery before travelling back to Gulgong for lunch at the local RSL club. You will then rejoin the train for the trip back to Newcastle.

Trip B - Saturday 16 November
Murder Mystery Dinner. Travel from Gulgong to Dunedoo + return
Depart the train at Dunedoo for a short 5 minute bus ride to the bowling club and enjoy a 3 course meal. You will be entertained and take part in a Murder Mystery show, great fun for everyone. Following the show and meal, enjoy an evening train ride back to Gulgong.

Departing at 5.45pm and returning at 7.05pm
