A taste of France in Australia
From the first vine planting in 1998, this family’s 53ha single-vineyard estate has grown into a renowned multi-generational boutique producer of French-style wines. They are located on the hills above the picturesque town of Rylstone, an area they were drawn to for its similarity to the Burgundian terroir of their heritage.
They believe great wine is made in the vineyard. Their exceptional terroir, the closest comparable to Burgundy, Champagne and the Northern Rhône Valley in Australia, and the ultra-cool climate, enables cultivation of outstanding grapes. Entrusting their precious grapes into the care of exceptional winemakers, they handcraft premium French-style wines.
Their cellar door is located on their vineyard in the historic 1850s ‘Grafter Room’. It is a beautiful converted sandstone stable with sweeping views of our vines and the sheer escarpments of the Blue Mountains – a special place to sit back, enjoy the wine and soak up vineyard life.
They are open on weekends and most public holidays (11am-4pm), or by appointment. For a very memorable experience, please contact them before you visit so they can organise something special for you.
Located on the hills above the picturesque town of Rylstone, they are only 90 mins from the Blue Mountains, 40 mins from Mudgee and 3.5 hours from central Sydney, offering you the perfect opportunity to nip over and visit them during your stay in the region. Also, the fully sealed Bylong Valley Way is now a comfortable, scenic link to the Hunter Valley.
They can’t wait to see you!
