Picture it: just the two of you, gazing into each other’s eyes – but not in a cringey way.
You can see the hills in the distance, the vineyards rolling away to the sides; the golden evening light is glinting off your glasses as you take that first sip of delicious local wine.
You’re away from it all – no kids, no work, no stress; just you, your loved one and three days to play in the Mudgee Region.
Your first stop? Checking in at Evamor Valley, where you’ll discover a newfound love for glamping amid nature.
Located just minutes from town, surrounded by serene farmland and bush (and rolling hills – tick!), you’ll have a luxury eco-tent to yourselves for the night, complete with super comfy king bed, bath robes and bottle of local bubbly.
The to-do list?
Light the fire pit.
While away the day in your personal hot tub overlooking the dam.
Stroll down the hill to the Cudgegong River and take in the towering gum trees.
Rinse and repeat.
It’s lush, it’s relaxed and it’s just the two of you in nature – it’s the perfect reset.
If you can drag yourself out of the hot tub, start the day with coffee and a box of mouth-watering doughnuts at Old Wheels Grind.
Served out of a vintage Land Rover parked in a grassy field, this is a Mudgee experience you won’t find anywhere else.
Find a table or a tree stump (yes, really!) near a roaring fire, look out over the vineyards (tick that off the list too!), and get cosy.
A locals’ favourite, you’ll find everyone here – kids with energy to burn, retired couples indulging their sweet tooth, nervous first daters (remember those!?) – and now, the two of you.
Eat up – boutique shopping awaits.
Drop into Cloth & Feather for a unique curated collection of homewares and beautiful objects. The design team specialises in all things timeless and built to last, just like your love (cheesy, but true).
Here, you’ll find fabrics, ornaments, art and lighting, plus more – plenty of things to take home and bring a little Mudgee into your life all-year-round.
And when you’re thirsty?
Head to Logan Wines for some of Mudgee’s best views.
From the stunning glass-walled cellar door, look out over the dam to the hills of Mudgee wine country.
Try one of the wines from the Clementine range (three bold, joyous favourites named after the winemaker’s daughter) perfect to pour while you take in the scenery and enjoy each other’s company distraction-free.
Book ahead for a tasting of Logan’s finest, matched with a packed charcuterie board.
When you arrive back into town, stop at Mudgee Brewing Co for a drink before dinner.
Housed in an old wool storehouse, the brewery is a Mudgee icon, home to live music and a trivia night that the locals love.
Try a brew from their extensive range – we love their famous stout known as Mudgee Mud; they’re pouring local wines too!
And once you see the menu, you can book in for dinner tomorrow night and enjoy everything the kitchen has in store.
Finish your night at Gigi's Restaurant – Mudgee’s newest fine dining addition.
Choose a few items to share, and let your tastebuds take a journey, while you enjoy some long-overdue #coupletime.
Gigi’s specialises in rich and complex flavours, just made for a date night.
Cue the hand holding…
You planned a three-day weekend, right? Great – we don’t want to rush you.
Get ready to do it all again tomorrow.
But for now?
The hot tub awaits…
