IN FULL BLOOM

Gather the girls - a new season awaits...

It’s like the TikTok algorithm knows exactly what you need.

You’re flicking through videos on your phone, and every second clip is screaming “GIRLS WEEKEND.” Cocktails clinking. Dresses twirling. Luscious lunches around a café table.

Annddddd… two hours have passed.

You need to stop procrastinating. You need to clean your house. You need to get back to work.

But more than anything?

You need a holiday.

It’s time, girl! Let’s get the gang together, because we’re going to the Mudgee Region!

Fast forward a few weeks, and you’re on the way. Gum trees are whipping past the car window. Vineyards stretch away to the horizon. Sunglasses on. Selfie in the rear-view mirror.

The highway brings you into a cute country town. Cottages. Roundabouts instead of traffic lights. A café or pub on every corner. Hello, we’re in Mudgee!

You arrive at Evanslea Luxury Boutique Accommodation Mudgee and settle in at Evanslea House - it’s giving ‘elegant 1870s home on the outside, pristine contemporary living on the inside’. Cue quick dance video in the driveway. Shots of the girls exploring, peeking into rooms, flopping down on a great big bed. Cut to images of lush green grass, strolling, running, face in profile against the sky, looking out over the water, mimosas by the pool. God, this photo shoot is SERVING.

But it’s time to keep moving, there’s too much to do!

Car pulling up. Mudgee Rides written across the bonnet. The girls pour in (pun intended!). Your trusty driver Ric is ready to get you safely around Mudgee’s best cellar doors, with a bit of local knowledge along the way. Cue private comfortable cruising around Mudgee wine country.

First stop: 791 Estate.

A table under a tree, surrounded by fields, Mudgee hills behind you. Fiona the owner (Mudgee’s best host!), pours the wines, telling stories and cracking jokes. Close-up of the chickens wandering around the grass. You’re sipping a white, then a red, tipping the glass to catch the last drops. Fiona the Owner's wine is influenced by a feminine hand, it's exactly the kind of wine you like to drink. Forever.

Next stop; a rolling garden of statues and sculptures, offering the perfect combination of art, wine and culture. You’re at Rosby Wines & Gallery for Sculptures in the Garden. It’s Mudgee’s biggest annual art event, when Rosby’s country garden comes to life with sculptures from artists across Australia, taking place 10 to 25 October. Pose next to an emu made of scrap metal. See eye-to-eye with a face carved out of stone. High five an oversized hand. Do it all with a glass of wine. A musician is playing. The Rosby puppies are sniffing your feet. Now, that’s what I call culture!

Cue changing room montage.

Natural fibres. Spring colours. Style. Comfort. Beautiful combinations. This is Willow Collective, a cosy boutique in the heart of Mudgee. You’re going out for dinner tonight, and you just need one perfect piece to complete your look - or maybe it’s time for a whole new outfit.

This is your Mudgee Region clothing transformation - it’s authentic, it’s classic, it’s new, it’s transformative, it’s the real you!

Phew, it’s time for dinner.

Pouring back into the car in your new outfits. Thank you driver!

You’re ending the day at zin food + wine house. Sunset flaring in the camera lens as you make your way up between beds of the lushest vegetable garden you’ve ever seen.

Cue a country homestead transformed into a restaurant celebrating local seasonal produce. Wine pouring into glasses. Freshly baked local bread. Greens from the garden you just walked through. Shared plates in the middle of the table. Every mouthful is a taste journey. Selfie, eyes closed, biting into the freshest vegetables you’ve ever tasted. Lamb that melts in your mouth.

How can you express it all in a 30-second video? What trending audio can capture the feeling of exploring the Mudgee Region with your besties and a bottle of wine? You edit, re-edit, caption, post. Your gift to the algorithm. Godspeed, little video, go out and find the other girlies craving a Mudgee Region getaway.
