ArtLab: Foundations - Sculpture Workshop

ArtLab: Foundations is a hands-on holiday workshop series designed to give young creatives the essential skills to take their art further.

ArtLab: Foundations is a school holiday workshop series for young people who want to build their creative skills from the ground up. Presented in partnership between Mid-Western Regional Council Youth Services and Mudgee Arts Precinct, each session explores a different creative medium — from drawing and painting to printmaking, sculpture, and digital art.

Participants will learn essential techniques, experiment with new tools and materials, and develop the confidence to continue growing their own unique creative style. Whether you’re picking up a paintbrush for the first time or refining your existing skills, ArtLab: Foundations is the perfect place to begin your creative journey.

Step into the Creature Lab and bring your wildest ideas to life! In this hands-on workshop, participants will design and build their own imaginative creature using wire, plaster, found materials and acrylic paint. Experiment with shape, texture and character as you create anything from a much-loved pet, favourite creature or strange new species. No experience needed, just bring your creativity and be ready to make something weird, wonderful and completely your own.

All art materials will be supplied, and lunch will also be provided.
