Olliedean produces Extra Virgin Organic Olive Oil that is not only complete with antioxidants but one that is also clean and natural.
From the beginning, the owners decided that they wanted to produce an olive oil that was not only exceptional in taste, but also one that was free from pesticides, herbicides and chemicals. They have adopted sustainable farming practices. Mulch is produced from organic grasses grown on-site and used around the trees. This not only conserves water but also improves the fertility of the soil. The grove and farming practices are audited annually and Olliedean are certified organic by Australian Certified Organic.
Olliedean was established in 2008 as a small boutique olive grove. The farmhouse was lovingly restored and the grove was initially started by hand planting 900 trees. The majority of the trees are of Italian and Spanish heritage and are homegrown in the rich fertile soils of the Erudgere Valley, just eight kilometres out of Mudgee.
The olives are hand-picked when ripe and immediately cold-pressed to maximise health benefits and taste. All pressing is done on-site to ensure no delay and to guarantee freshness.
