Let your hair down with D’Vine Escapes in Mudgee. New on the scene since December 2023, this family-operated wine tour offers much more than your average wine experience. Bringing a personal touch, door-to-door service and a passion for the region’s grapes, you can expect nothing less than a ‘D’Vine’ day out with owners Glenn and Jo.
Mudgee’s cool nights and warm sunny days, combined with its high peaks, have cultivated an abundance of celebrated wineries. With over 35 cellar doors peppered around Mudgee’s rolling hills and countryside towns, no wine tour in the region is the same. And wine isn’t the only star here. Among the vines, you’ll also find breweries serving quirky craft beers and distilleries offering unforgettable small-batch spirits.
Mudgee’s wine tours are always a treat for the senses, with melt-in-your-mouth cheeses, friendly winemakers pouring their passion, and some of Australia’s most breathtaking, charismatic cellar doors. D’Vine Escapes takes it further, infusing a personal touch throughout your experience. Glenn says, ’We’d like to think we add a more personalised experience, being the owners and operators of the business. We don’t employ drivers, we run the tours ourselves.’
Jo and Glenn’s passion for wine and hospitality is the heart and soul of D’Vine Escapes. With a family history of French winemaking, their love for wine blossomed, inspiring the creation of D’Vine Escapes.
Their passion is apparent on every tour. It’s all about personalisation with D’Vine, and it starts before your day even begins. From the moment you book, Jo and Glenn curate your day’s itinerary, selecting cellar doors that perfectly align with your palate.
On the day, D’Vine Escapes offer a ’door to door’ service, picking you up and dropping you off at your accommodation door (in or near Mudgee).
Opt for a half-day or full-day Wine Tasting Tour, or combine a full-day tour with a regional town visit to explore the charming towns of Gulgong or Rylstone. Both towns are small but pack a punch with their rich history, authentic 19th-century architecture, quintessential country town pubs, and boutique wineries. During your regional town visit, you’ll stop for lunch – indulging in delicious local fare – before exploring the town’s collection of boutique shops. In Rylstone, sip elegant French-inspired wines at the De Beaurepaire Wines, and pick up Rylstone’s Extra Virgin Olive Oil, made with olives grown in the Central Tablelands of New South Wales, at the Rylstone Olive Press. In Gulgong, don’t miss the historic Prince of Wales Pub, known for welcoming patrons with a friendly smile since 1872, along with the town’s fascinating gold rush museums.
’Relax, rejuvenate & Un’ wined with D'Vine Escapes Mudgee’, says Glenn. If his puns are anything to go by, you’re in for a fun-filled day out with D’Vine Escapes – putting a fresh twist on your average wine tour.
