Welcome to “Paper to Print” - a collection of new works by local artist Jayne Blake, which is set to open at Alby + Esthers on May 15.
This exhibition of paintings and mixed-media texta works explores the transformation of drawing through colour, texture, mixed media and digital edition.
“Paper to Print” is a celebration of Blake’s love of hand drawings, where she lets the lines guide her into playful, unexpected shapes.
Blake is a Mudgee artist and teacher, who loves colour, shape and movement.
She has worked across many mediums, but now primarily works in drawings.
A former graphic designer, she brings digital skills to her print and mixed-media pieces, refining and reworking her outlines in Photoshop to add texture, scale and colour.
“Paper to Print” will officially open at Alby + Esthers from 5pm on Friday, May 15.
All works are available for sale.
The exhibition will run until July 2
