Join acclaimed artist Peter Griffen for a two-day immersive workshop exploring levels of abstraction within landscape, open to any medium.
This workshop invites participants to move fluidly between representation and abstraction, encouraging experimentation, intuition, and personal visual language. You may choose to work from imagination or respond to reference materials such as photographs, sketches, objects, or paintings by other artists—simply bring along whatever inspires you.
Across the weekend, Peter will guide you through ways of simplifying, distorting, layering, and reinterpreting landscape imagery, helping you explore how far a work can shift while still holding its essence. The focus is on process, exploration, and creative freedom rather than finishing a resolved artwork.
Set within the peaceful surrounds of the Rosby Mud Hut, this workshop offers the ideal environment to think deeply, experiment boldly, and reconnect with your practice. Generous hospitality—including morning tea, lunch, and Rosby wines—rounds out a relaxed and inspiring creative experience.
Spaces are limited. Early booking is recommended.
