De Beaurepaire Wines is a family-owned, single-estate vineyard and cellar door in Rylstone, on the cool-climate edge of the Central Ranges of NSW. Founded in 1998 by Richard and Janet de Beaurepaire, the 55-hectare estate was planted in a limestone-soil valley chosen for its striking similarities to the family's Burgundian homeland.
More than 27 years later, the winery remains family-led. Richard and Janet are still actively involved, with Richard continuing to share his signature guided cellar door experiences, while second-generation CEO Will de Beaurepaire now leads the estate into its next chapter alongside his wife Megan and their daughters Sophie and Annabelle, each honoured through sparkling wines bearing their names.
The vineyard produces elegant, food-friendly and age-worthy wines with a distinctly French sensibility: French in spirit, Australian in character. Rylstone is one of Australia's coldest inland vineyard sites, delivering long ripening, natural acidity, freshness and finesse.
Visitors are welcomed into atmospheric 1840s sandstone and timber cellar door buildings for guided wine experiences exploring the vineyard, French heritage, terroir and estate wines. Guests can also enjoy cheese and charcuterie boards, wine by the glass or bottle, and relaxed time on the lawns overlooking the vines.
De Beaurepaire Wines was awarded Australian Wine of the Year by Winestate Magazine in 2018 — a first for NSW.
